First proven on the Ritchey Trail Stem, the C220 stem design creates a safer interface by wrapping a full 220 over the handlebars. The bolt forces are aligned with the clamp so that the stem body “wraps” the handlebar, which is less susceptible to damage to lightweight bars. This clamp design allows for a lighter faceplate and stem without sacrificing strength or stiffness.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n The stem is made from 2014 forged aluminum to further reduce weight.
